Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College has achieved both excellent results in the number of scientific research projects and conclusions

Recently, the Ministry of Education's Foreign Language Major Teaching Steering Committee of Vocational Colleges of Vocational Colleges announced the list of special projects for "Language Service Vocational Education Going Overseas" in 2024. Two projects, including "Research on the Training Model of Arabic Talents in Higher Vocational College that serves the 'Belt and Road' Construction of the 'Belt and Road', and "Research on the Construction Model of Modern Industrial College in the Digital Economy Era" by Teacher Sun Bo of the College of English, Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College as the Leader, and "Research on the Construction Model of Foreign Language Cross-border E-commerce" by Teacher Zhu Ting of the School of International Business, were approved for the establishment of key projects.

It is reported that the application work for this project was jointly organized and implemented by the Foreign Language Teaching Commission and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the "Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Construction of the Modern Vocational Education System" and the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan", we will promote the construction of a modern vocational education system with new quality productivity, respond to the "Belt and Road" multilingual talent training initiative, and enhance the training of foreign language professional talents to serve "China's ability to participate in global governance, promote mutual learning of civilizations, and build a community with a shared future for mankind". A total of 133 key commissioned projects, key topics, general topics and self-financing projects were evaluated.

In addition, the Hainan Provincial Department of Education recently issued the "Public Announcement on the Project Promulgation Results of Research and Scientific Research Projects in Higher Education and Teaching Reform in 2025". 19 teachers from Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College were awarded the project, and the number of projects was established to hit a new high. Among them, the "Research on the Outward Communication Path of Hainan Qiong Opera Culture in the Integration of Foreign Languages, Digital and Intelligence" applied by Teacher Zhang Qingping of the School of English was approved for the establishment of a key funding project. At the same time, in the list of the 2025 review results of the higher education and teaching reform research and scientific research projects announced by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education, the projects responsible for 11 teachers from Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College passed the expert acceptance and successfully completed the questions, and the number of individual projects completed was the largest in previous years.

In recent years, Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College has stimulated teachers' scientific research vitality through measures such as reforming the scientific research mechanism and building a collaborative innovation platform for industry-education integration. Relying on the advantages of the "Foreign Language " discipline, it has promoted cross-field joint research and development. The quantity and quality of scientific research projects have achieved leapfrog improvements, and has successively achieved breakthroughs in the National Social Science Fund Project, the Ministry of Education's China University Industry-Academic-Research Innovation Fund Project, the Ministry of Education's Foreign Language Major Education Guide Committee, and the Hainan Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning Major Special Project. It has been successfully approved as the Hainan Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Cultivation Laboratory, exploring a popular "overseas college paradigm" for the reform and innovation practice of vocational education.

In the future, Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College will continue to deepen the collaborative innovation of "government, administration, enterprise and school", relying on the construction of provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms such as "Hainan Province Language Service Internationalization and Digital Trade Key Laboratory", "Hainan Province Applied Foreign Language Research Base", and "ASEAN Language and Culture Popularization Demonstration Base", and strive to build a highland of vocational education innovation based in Hainan and radiating to ASEAN, and contribute greater strength to cultivating internationally competitive technical and skilled talents and helping the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
