This competition is themed "Building a Better Together, Opening the Future Together", adopts a combination of "global competition zone overseas sub-competition zone", and invites co-constructors, participants and people from relevant countries of the "Belt and Road" to participate in the global market, and displays the positive changes and fruitful results of the "Belt and Road" from China's initiative to international practice in the form of short videos, transforming from concepts and visions into reality of action, and consolidating the awareness and reputation of the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative on a global scale.

The competition has started online solicitation, and participants can participate in the name of institutions or individuals. In terms of selection mechanism, this competition will set up three stages: organizing committee screening, public voting and expert review. After the organizing committee initially screens out works that meet the theme and participation requirements of the competition, the public can vote at the designated platform of the competition within the specified time. The review session will invite experts from the short video industry and international communication fields to form an expert jury, and conduct comprehensive selections from the dimensions of visual effects, emotional communication, opinion statements, and communication data of entries to obtain the final award results.

The global competition area of ​​this competition has set up four major tracks: enterprises, cities, universities, and special competitions for the first time, to encourage domestic and foreign enterprises participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road", Chinese cities that promote cross-cultural exchanges, domestic and foreign universities that carry out international cooperation, and diverse subjects that promote cultural interaction to jointly tell the story of the "Belt and Road". The competition will select track awards such as "Civilization Integration Award", "Cultural Bridge Award", "Diverian Perspective Award", "Silk Road Generation Z Award", as well as 13 major awards including "Overseas Sub-Search Award", "Excellent Work Award", and "Excellent Organization Unit". Excellent award-winning works will have the opportunity to display them on the competition official website and Kuaishou, and other social media accounts at home and abroad. The award ceremony will be held in September 2025.

Since 2019, the "Belt and Road" Hundred Countries Imprint Short Video Competition has been successfully held for six sessions, and has received positive responses and enthusiastic participation from builders and beneficiaries of the "Belt and Road" co-construction countries. The sixth competition brings together nearly 2,000 excellent works from more than 130 countries and regions around the world, with a total global viewing volume exceeding 1.5 billion, vividly interpreting the prosperity picture of people-to-people communication and sharing of results under the "Belt and Road" initiative. The holding of this competition will further build consensus on global development, enhance cross-cultural understanding and mutual trust, and inject more humanistic vitality into the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".

4. Track and award settings

This competition has a total of 13 major awards including enterprises, cities, universities, and special four major track awards, as well as "Overseas Sub-Second Division Award", "Excellent Work Award", and "Excellent Organization Unit".

5. Work requirements

(I) Theme Requirements

Focusing on the themes of infrastructure construction, people's livelihood development, friendly exchanges, connectivity, results summary, future prospects, etc. in countries and regions related to the "Belt and Road", we will tell the story of all parties' high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and welcoming opportunities for peaceful development from a diverse perspective, real images and vivid discourse.

(II) Video requirements

1. The video must have complete images, sounds, and subtitles. The video duration is within 4 minutes, the file format is not less than 1280*720, the format is MOV/MP4, and the horizontal screen shooting effect is better.

2. Excellent works will be broadcast publicly after the game. Please avoid watermarks, corner marks, station marks and other logos. Please do not insert any commercial advertisements to avoid affecting the spread.

3. Works with full Chinese narration, dialogue, and commentary must be added in Chinese and English subtitles; works with multilingual narration, dialogue, and commentary must be added in Chinese and English subtitles, and the use of Chinese characters should be standardized and accurate.

7. Selection instructions

(I) Selection steps

The selection of works in this competition will be divided into three steps:

1. Organizing committee screening

The organizing committee will conduct a preliminary screening of the entries, and works that meet the theme and participation requirements of the competition will enter the public voting stage.

2. Public voting session

The organizing committee will initiate a week-long online vote for the public, and the popular works will enter the expert review process.

3. Expert review process

The review process will invite experts from the short video industry and international communication fields to form an expert jury. The experts will rate the works from the dimensions of visual effects, emotional communication, and viewpoint statements based on professional perspectives. The number of views, likes, comments, forwarding and other dissemination data of entries on other platforms will also be used as reference items for expert ratings.

(II) Selection criteria

1. The final list of winners will be based on expert review scores as the main basis, comprehensively consider the communication data of the reference works, and comprehensively evaluated based on the degree of award fit.

2. The "Excellent Organization Unit" award is evaluated based on the number of works submitted by the same unit and the quality of works.

3. The competition organizing committee will award certificates, trophys and other prizes to the winners and units to encourage them.

8. Things to note

Participants are requested to know and abide by the following precautions before participating in the competition to jointly maintain the order of the competition.

1. Each work can be selected as a reference information for competition selection. Based on the selection criteria, the organizing committee will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the works based on the matching degree of the work content and the awards (see the application form - award category for details).

2. Previous entries will no longer be included in the scope of the work selection of this competition, please do not submit them repeatedly.

3. The entries should meet the theme of the competition and convey positive social energy. They should not involve content that is controversial, such as pornography, violence, religion, race and regional discrimination.

4. Participants should confirm that they own the complete copyright of their entries, and the organizer shall not bear legal liability and related losses arising from disputes involving portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, copyrights, trademark rights, etc. in the entries themselves.

5. Participants must pay attention to the font intellectual property rights, music copyrights, video material copyrights, etc. in the video works. Once any infringement is found, the event organizing committee has the right to cancel their qualifications for participating and awards. The organizer is sued for suspected infringement of the entry, and the final liability for infringement shall be borne by the contestant.

7.
