Xinhua News Agency, Chengdu, June 12 (Reporters Wen Jinghua and Li Like) The Second Belt and Road Science and Technology Innovation Ministers' Meeting held in Chengdu, Sichuan on the 11th read out the Chengdu Declaration on the Joint Building of the Belt and Road Science and Technology Innovation Community, and advocated jointly promoting the construction of an innovation-driven, open, inclusive, fair and just, common prosperity, and universal and sustainable "Belt and Road" science and technology innovation community.

The declaration and initiative will jointly implement the concept of innovation-driven development and work together to meet common global challenges; jointly seize the historical opportunities of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, promote the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation; jointly bridge the gap in scientific and technological and technological development, promote common prosperity and progress; jointly weave a tight innovation partnership network to cultivate young scientific and technological innovation talents; jointly improve the global scientific and technological governance system, so that scientific and technological progress can benefit all mankind.

Yin Hejun, Minister of Science and Technology of China, said that China will always uphold the concept of openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit and sharing of international science and technology cooperation, work with all parties to continuously deepen scientific and technological innovation cooperation in jointly building the "Belt and Road" and work together to build a "Belt and Road" scientific and technological innovation community, so that scientific and technological innovation can better empower the joint construction of the country's economic and social development.

The 41 ministers and ministerial representatives of the co-construction countries and jointly conducted in-depth exchanges on topics such as tapping new potential and new paradigms of scientific and technological cooperation and building a "Belt and Road" science and technology innovation community, and exchanged extensive opinions on deepening exchanges and cooperation in key areas such as artificial intelligence, spatial information, green and low-carbon, and life and health.

The 2nd Belt and Road Ministers' Meeting of Science and Technology Innovation is hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and is one of the important activities of the 2nd Belt and Road Science and Technology Exchange Conference.
