From June 10 to 12, the second "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Exchange Conference was held in Chengdu. The conference set up five major sections, including important activities, theme activities, special activities, roundtable meetings, and technology docking, focusing on the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" science and technology planning policy docking, scientific and technological cultural exchanges, industrial innovation and development, international scientific plans, scientific and technological poverty reduction, artificial intelligence, traditional Chinese medicine, and successfully held 38 activities.

During the theme activities, activities were held for artificial intelligence empowering sustainable development, the "Belt and Road" Youth Scientist Forum, the "Belt and Road" Traditional Medicine Cooperation and the International Science and Technology Conference on Modernizing Traditional Chinese Medicine, the "Belt and Road" Project Capacity Building Forum, the Goal and Practical Forum of Science and Technology Reduction, the Forum on the Construction of the Road to Promote Innovation in Space Information Technology, the International Large Science Plan Forum, and the "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" Forum, which reflects the multi-level and wide-field characteristics of the "Belt and Road" scientific and technological cooperation. At each event site, well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad and industry representatives shared wonderful views. At the Venture Capital Forum for Well-known Chinese and Foreign Innovative Enterprises in the Belt and Road Initiative, the "Belt and Road" International Science Organization Alliance - International Science and Technology Enterprise Alliance was officially established, and several heavyweight international cooperation projects were signed.

The special activities of this conference include the promotion of industrial cooperation activities for "Technology Creates a Better Life", the Sichuan Tour of the "Belt and Road" Youth Science and Technology Innovation Partner Program and the 9th "Belt and Road" Youth Maker Camp and Teachers Seminar, the launching ceremony of the "Belt and Road" International Big Data Competition, the dialogue on cooperation, innovation and development of the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Park, and a series of activities for the protection of cultural heritage, etc., creating high-quality scientific and technological cultural exchange opportunities for participants in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" countries and further strengthening international exchanges and cooperation.

In addition, a series of roundtables for the Empowerment of Innovation Cooperation in Science and Technology Finance, the Presidents of the "Belt and Road" University Science and Technology Cooperation Alliance, the Roundtable for the Innovation and Development of Precision Medicine and Digital Medical, the Roundtable for the International Science and Technology Cooperation Cooperation of Disaster Prevention and Reduction, the Roundtable for the Support of Connectivity of Transportation and Science and Technology, the Roundtable for the Study of Frontier Technology of Brain Science and Industry Development, and the Roundtable for the International Meridian Circle Space Science, have attracted representatives from government departments of the "Belt and Road" co-construction, well-known international organizations, domestic and foreign scientific research institutions and industry leading enterprises to participate. At the roundtable meeting on civil nuclear energy technology and future energy industry development, the China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute and the Thailand Nuclear Technology Institute signed a memorandum of understanding on jointly building a joint laboratory, the Southwest Institute of Physics of the Nuclear Industry and PetroChina University of Science and Technology of Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding on fusion science and technology cooperation, and the "Belt and Road" nuclear energy science and technology cooperation added new achievements.

In terms of technology docking, the "two-way list announcement and leader" list was successfully released and the launch ceremony of the achievement transformation guidance fund. The third batch of 40 "two-way list announcement and leader" lists were released on the spot, and the Sichuan Province Achievement Transformation Investment Guidance Fund with a scale of 5 billion yuan was launched to leverage more social capital to support scientific and technological innovation. In addition, the release and technology matching meeting of major scientific and technological achievements of high-end equipment, the special technology matching meeting of new frontier technologies for displaying cutting-edge technologies and international production capacity, the special technology matching meeting of the "Belt and Road" technological innovation achievements of science and technology investment, the sharing of international technology transfer cases and technology matching of the "Belt and Road" were also successfully held.

Provincial leaders Yu Lijun, Cao Lijun, Dong Weimin, Pubunzhu, Jin Lei, Zheng Li, Luo Qiang, He Li, Yang Xingping, Hu Yun, Li Wenqing, Lin Shucheng, Ouyang Zehua and Yang Dan attended the relevant activities and met with relevant guests.
