Resist Pressure To Increase Power In China's Foreign Trade: Seek Multiple Solutions In Complex Environments

China Industrial Economic Information Network is sponsored by the China Press Association, headed by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee and managed by the People's Daily. It was established in 1997. It was approved by the State Council Information Office and was the first batch of national online news media qualifications.

The total amount increases, and the variables are controllable. In the first half of this year, facing the complex international environment, China's foreign trade withstood the pressure, and the report card of imports and exports of 21.79 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.9% is a reflection of China's foreign trade resilience and strength. Among them, the ever-expanding "circle of friends" and the increasingly tightening economic and trade cooperation ties with diversified markets have provided continuous impetus for this resilience.

Statistics from the General Administration of Customs show that in the first half of the year, China's imports and exports to more than 190 countries and regions increased, and the number of partners with a trade scale of more than 50 billion yuan reached 61, an increase of 5 over the same period last year.

"While achieving growth in traditional markets such as the EU, Japan, and the UK, emerging markets have contributed more incremental." Wang Lingjun, deputy director of the General Administration of Customs, said at a press conference of the State Information Office recently that despite facing external uncertainties, diversified and stable markets, innovative high-quality products, and foreign trade entities that respond to new conditions give Chinese foreign trade enterprises confidence, confidence and ability to deal with various risks and challenges.

Deeply cultivate the "Belt and Road"

In the first half of the year, China's imports and exports to countries with jointly building the "Belt and Road" were 11.29 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year, accounting for 51.8% of the overall foreign trade. Among them, China's export of engineering machinery for infrastructure construction to the joint construction countries, wind turbines, instruments, etc. to promote green development and scientific and technological innovation have maintained double-digit growth. At the same time, China and the co-construction countries signed 32 agricultural and food product access documents, and high-quality agricultural and food products such as Hawaiian nuts in Zambia and Fresh Bananas in Colombia were allowed to be exported to China.

On July 22, in the production workshop of Aike (Changzhou) Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd., the engine production line was running at full speed, and a batch of tractors with a cargo value of about 4.3 million yuan will be exported to Djibouti.

"According to the emission standards of different markets, we can provide different models. At present, the company has exported more than a thousand tractor models to countries jointly built the Belt and Road Initiative." Zhang Haitao, senior production manager of the company, introduced that with the continuous growth of the market demand for agricultural mechanization in countries jointly built the Belt and Road Initiative, the company's road to overseas is constantly widening, and tractors and related spare parts have opened up sales in countries such as Argentina and the United Arab Emirates.

Especially after becoming a high-level customs AEO certification enterprise, Aike Agricultural Machinery enjoys facilitation measures such as priority customs clearance and reducing inspection frequency, and its international competitiveness has been further enhanced. In the first half of this year, the company's exports to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" accounted for 60% of its total exports, an increase of 15% year-on-year.

In fact, China's trade ties with the countries jointly built have become closer, development cooperation has become more in-depth, and interconnection has become more three-dimensional. Many foreign trade enterprises have promoted "intelligent transformation and transformation" in the process of deepening the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" national market, achieving the growth of the export scale of multiple key products.

As a national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise, the refined cotton produced by Nantong Yaohua Fiber Co., Ltd. is used in many fields such as food, medicine, and chemical industry. From January to June this year, the company's exports to countries with jointly built the "Belt and Road" market value exceeded 34 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 82.43%. "Recently, we have another batch of 105 tons of cotton short velvet pulp exported to Thailand." Bao Aiming, the head of the company, told reporters that thanks to the optimization of the port business environment, enterprises can better cope with risks. By using convenient measures such as early declaration and direct installation in Hong Kong, they can speed up customs clearance, and while ensuring the delivery cycle, they can reduce logistics costs.

Flowers bloom in emerging markets

Recently, a China-Europe freight train full of Skyworth products set off and drove towards Kazakhstan via the Horgos Port in Xinjiang. The busy trade artery witnesses China-Central Asia cooperation entering the fast lane and Chinese foreign trade companies are accelerating their enthusiasm to explore this emerging market full of potential.

With AI technology, Skyworth Color TV is now becoming the "new favorite" of family living rooms in Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Behind this consumption boom is the "dual-wheel drive" of China's brand innovation strength and port business environment.

"In order to ensure that the products withstand the test of long-distance railway transportation, Skyworth has conducted special tests and verifications. At the same time, for the multi-language environment in Central Asia, the company has also developed an intelligent voice interaction system that supports local languages to deeply meet the preferences of regional consumers." Liu Yingjun, the customs officer of Skyworth Group, sighed that the early declaration and direct arrival to Hong Kong have greatly reduced the customs clearance time of goods, and significantly improved export efficiency, allowing enterprises to respond to emergency orders from Central Asia customers as soon as possible. According to Shenzhen Customs statistics, the value of Shenzhen’s exported household appliances to Central Asia was 470 million yuan in the first five months of this year, an increase of 75% year-on-year.

On the banks of the Bohai Bay where the heat is steaming, 122 pickup trucks from Great Wall Motors Co., Ltd. were loaded on a ro-ro ship and set off for Algeria recently. As one of the largest automobile import and export hub ports in northern China, Tianjin Port continues to weave a tight global roll-on route. At present, Tianjin Port’s foreign trade robo routes have covered more than 30 countries and regions in Europe, the Middle East, South America and other countries.

"Ro-ro-ro-ship transportation vehicles have significant advantages. They do not need to rely on lifting equipment throughout the process. The cars can directly enter the cabin, which greatly improves operating efficiency. At the same time, there are special vehicle parking areas and professional fixtures in the cabin, which can effectively avoid vehicle collisions or damage caused by bumps and shaking during transportation." Zhang Dongxu, business manager of Tianrui Logistics Co., Ltd., Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, introduced that the "ro-ro-ro-ro-sea-rail intermodal" combined transportation model created by Tianjin Port helps domestic cars continuously expand their overseas "circle of friends".

Customs data shows that in the first half of this year, China's imports and exports to Africa were 1.18 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.4% year-on-year; imports and exports to Central Asia were 357.2 billion yuan, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year; exports of machine tools to ASEAN, agricultural machinery to Central Asia, and textile machinery to Africa all increased significantly.

The key to climbing the hill and overcoming obstacles is to boost confidence. The latest China Customs Trade Survey results show that confidence in Chinese export and import companies has rebounded for two consecutive months, and peers in traditional markets and emerging markets are undoubtedly one of the sources of this confidence.
