Modern Express News (Reporter Long Qiuli/Written by Yu Qian/Photo) On August 7, Huang Renwei, Executive Vice President of the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance Institute of Fudan University, attended the 67th training of the "Jiangsu Publishing Lecture Hall" of Phoenix College (76 lectures in Phoenix Lecture Hall) at the invitation of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, and gave a special lecture on the topic of "Constructing the Belt and Road Initiative" and "Going Out" of Vocational Education". The lecture was hosted by Yuan Nan, deputy general manager of Phoenix Media.

Huang Renwei pointed out that globalization is currently facing a turning point, and China advocates version 2.0 globalization with developing countries as the main body. The "Belt and Road" will become a new growth engine and provide new directions for global investment and trade.
He stressed that the "Belt and Road" has entered its second golden decade, with the demand for overseas investment and infrastructure cooperation among Chinese companies soaring, and high-skilled talents who are familiar with international rules are urgently needed. "Vocational education is the key to supporting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Vocational education needs to go global with enterprises to provide sufficient talent support for enterprises."
As a reflection of soft power, vocational education involves textbook writing and publishing, cooperation with local media, etc. These all depend on the "going out" of the publishing industry. Professional international publishing talents who are proficient in the target regional language and culture, are familiar with international publishing rules, have cross-cultural communication capabilities, and understand the local educational ecology. In Huang Renwei's view, as a leading enterprise in the national publishing industry, Phoenix Group needs to actively explore new models of "going overseas" for vocational education, go deep into the front line of targeted countries and society, accurately connect with local needs, and through corresponding textbooks and digital resources, let the people understand the "Belt and Road", accept the "Belt and Road", and participate in the "Belt and Road".
A reporter from Modern Express learned that in recent years, Phoenix Publishing and Media Group has actively served the "Belt and Road" initiative, and its vocational education publishing center has made many breakthroughs in promoting vocational education to Central Asia: First, hosting the "Jiangsu-Central Asia Vocational Education Industry-Education Integration Exchange Conference" and setting up a textbook research and development center in Uzbekistan to promote the docking and certification of China-Uzbekistan vocational skills standards; Second, gathering high-end academic resources, establishing the first vocational education overseas think tank, researching the model and path of China-Central Asia vocational education cooperation, and providing systematic academic support for schools and enterprises to go overseas to Central Asia; Third, developing the Phoenix International's "Chinese Workshop" textbook system, promoting copyright output and localized publishing, and helping to cultivate localized talents.
By innovating the new paradigm of collaborative overseas travel by "Publishing Vocational Education Industry", Phoenix Group has built a new system of overseas vocational education content resources for "Chinese Skills Culture Digitalization", creating a new business card for Jiangsu publishing to "go global".
It is reported that about 350 editors from several publishing houses under Phoenix Group and some university publishing houses in the province participated in the training.
