Recently, the China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Railway Rail Transit Standardization Interconnection International Training Course was held in Nanning. The training class is guided by the State Administration for Market Regulation and hosted by the China-ASEAN Countries Standardization Cooperation and Exchange Center and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Standard Technology Research Institute. 21 students from 8 ASEAN countries participated in the training.

This training adopts a combination of theory, technology and practice, focusing on explaining special courses such as standardized general knowledge, rail transit standard system and key technical standards, urban rail transit standardized management model, and artificial intelligence technology. After the course, the students expressed their hope to strengthen research and cooperation with China in the future, and began to plan how to implement what they learned and apply the knowledge learned in this training to the construction and management of Thailand's railways.

Solavit, a transportation technician at the Railway Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport, who participated in the training, said that China's standardized operation and management model of rail transit has a great reference for Thailand's urban rail operation, and looks forward to deepening exchanges with China and other ASEAN countries in the future.

Adam, a student from the Malaysian Railway Connection Company, sighed: "I look forward to one day taking the high-speed rail from Kuala Lumpur and going directly to Kunming via Bangkok and Vientiane. This requires our countries to work together to promote standardization." He participated in the Malaysia East Coast Railway Project jointly built by China-Malaysia and expected to be opened to traffic in 2027, and expressed his hope that Malaysia and China will have more cooperation in rail transit interconnection in the future.

In recent years, under the guidance and support of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Market Supervision Bureau, the China-ASEAN Countries Standardization Cooperation and Exchange Center has actively served the construction of the "Belt and Road" and made breakthrough progress in the railway field. For example, it has participated in the development of Laos' first national railway standard "Basic Terminology Standard for Railway Engineering", to help the efficient operation of China-Laos railways and set a model of China-ASEAN deepening standardization cooperation; jointly launched the ASEAN Railway Interconnection Standard Cooperation Alliance, implemented the "ASEAN Railway Interconnection Standard Cooperation Initiative", used rules and standards to "soft connect" to serve infrastructure "hard connectivity", deepened the coordination of rail transit standards, and effectively promoted regional trade facilitation.
