The Air Silk Road is an important part of jointly building the "Belt and Road" and an important link in building and improving the "four-in-one" interconnection layout of the HaiLan and Sky Network.

Today, the "circle of friends" of the construction of the Air Silk Road continues to expand, the areas of cooperation are constantly expanding, and the service guarantee functions are becoming increasingly prominent, making positive contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road".
Not long ago, the Civil Aviation Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Air Silk Road Construction Development Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Development Report"), comprehensively promoting the achievements of the construction of the Air Silk Road, further building consensus on cooperation and looking forward to the prospects of cooperation.
The Development Report shows that at present, China has 61 countries with regular passenger transport and passenger transport are jointly built on the "Belt and Road" and 33 countries with joint construction of cargo. China's air carriers have a total of 110 countries with joint construction of international routes, and has initially formed an air channel covering the six major economic corridors of the "Belt and Road".
As of the end of June 2025, China has signed an intergovernmental air transport agreement with 107 co-construction countries, covering nearly 70% of co-construction countries. From 2017 to the end of June 2025, China and the co-construction countries completed a total of 1.559 million flights, 200 million passengers, and 5.951 million tons of cargo and mail transportation, accounting for 59.3%, 59.2% and 25.8% of the total international air transportation, respectively.
These development achievements not only effectively promote the development of China's civil aviation, but also continue to contribute to the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and the high-level construction of an open, inclusive, interconnected and common development world.
The "Development Report" summarizes the development experience of high-quality joint construction of the air Silk Road into "four ends", namely, always adhere to openness and inclusiveness, deepen connectivity, always adhere to common development, promote fairness and inclusiveness, always adhere to innovation-driven, enhance development momentum; always adhere to ecological priority, and achieve green development.

In terms of ecological priority, we will promote cooperation and promotion of energy conservation and carbon reduction technology, follow the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities to control fossil energy consumption, explore circular development models, and improve the level of resource conservation and environmental protection.
