Southeast.com, August 24 (Fujian Daily reporter Zheng Yuxuan) From August 18 to 23, Provincial CPPCC Chairman Teng Jiacai led a delegation from Fujian to the UK and Hungary. This visit aims to give full play to the advantages of the CPPCC, actively carry out public diplomacy, strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation between our province and European countries, and at the same time build a platform to enhance liaison and friendship with overseas Fujian Chinese, and further consolidate the heart, wisdom and strength of overseas Chinese.

During the visit, the delegation actively promoted Fujian's political advantages as an important breeding place and practical place for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, accelerated the construction of a modern industrial system, promoted high-quality development, and its location advantages, multi-zone superimposed policy advantages and pioneering advantages as the core area of ​​the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, vividly demonstrated the specific practice of Chinese-style modernization in Fujian. Through in-depth and extensive exchanges, positive results have been achieved in strengthening economic and trade cooperation, deepening cultural exchanges, and promoting mutual learning in institutions.

During his time in the UK, Teng Jiacai and his party met with Baron Udin, Baron Udin, President of the British-China Trade Association Peter Bai, and Jack Yode, Deputy Mayor of Salford, to conduct in-depth discussions on deepening high-end manufacturing, data technology, biomedicine, low-carbon energy and other fields, and negotiated specific matters such as the UK's participation in the China International Investment and Trade Fair. The visiting delegation attended the China (Fujian)-British Economic and Trade Promotion Conference and the "Fujian Tea Culture International Communication UK Station" event to help promote the expansion of new energy market, the construction of overseas warehouses of Fujian enterprises and trade logistics cooperation. We also held a discussion with representatives of Fujian-born overseas Chinese leaders from the UK, listened to the opinions and suggestions of Fujian-born overseas Chinese on the construction of a new Fujian, and hoped that they would continue to unite and play a good role in a bridge and link, and contribute to enhancing China-UK friendly relations.

During his time in Hungary, Teng Jiacai and his party met with Vice President of Congress Accorb Ishtvan and Chief Advisor of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation Tyrs Thomas to conduct in-depth exchanges on strengthening the export of new energy vehicles, photovoltaic products and lithium batteries, and strengthening cooperation in agricultural science and technology, education and culture, and air transportation. Attend the opening ceremony of the 2025 "Fresh Fujian" (Hungary) Cultural and Tourism Week, the theme exhibition of "Lin Huiyin, the guardian of cultural heritage from Fuzhou Ancient Houses" and the cultural exchange activity of "Lin Huiyin Meets Princess Sissi" and witnessed the signing of five cultural and tourism projects together. At the same time, he also held cordial discussions with overseas Chinese leaders from Fujian communities such as the Hungarian Fujian Association, and instructed overseas villagers from Fujian to spread the good voice of China and tell new stories in Fujian, and contributed the wisdom and strength of overseas Chinese to help the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".

The delegation also visited our envoys to both countries and visited some Fujian enterprises in both countries.
