On the afternoon of August 29, the 2025 Digital Expo "Belt and Road" International Big Data Industry Development Academic Exchange Activity was held with the theme of "Digital Intelligence Empowering the New Era and Common Prosperity to the Future". More than 100 representatives from UN agencies, international organizations, scientific research institutes and enterprises gathered together to conduct in-depth dialogue on issues such as empowering the construction of the "Belt and Road" and rural revitalization and common prosperity, and work together to draw up a new picture of digital and intelligent development.

In his speech, Secretary-General of the United Nations Center for Global South-South Cooperation and Development Lu Zhonghua pointed out that China plays a key role as a "technical bridge" in global South-South cooperation. The rise of "China Digital Valley" not only provides local enterprises with fertile ground for innovation, but also helps developing countries to cross the digital divide through technology output and experience sharing. He called on all countries to seize the opportunities of big data and artificial intelligence, build multilateral cooperation mechanisms, and promote the "dual-wheel drive" of technological cooperation and economic cooperation.

"Common prosperity is not egalitarianism, but through technological inclusiveness, every inch of land and every worker can share digital dividends." Liu Lijuan, director of the Rural Revitalization Working Committee of the "Belt and Road" interpreted the spirit of the Central Document No. 1 in 2025, and proposed that rural revitalization should take "data foundation building and intelligence towards newness" as the core, and solve the problem of imbalance in urban and rural development through digital means.

During the sharing session of experts and scholars, Ren Haiping, director of the Expert Committee of Peking University's China Economic Think Tank, reviewed the twelve-year achievements of the "Belt and Road" and pointed out that technologies such as the Internet, big data, and AI have become the key "adhesives" to promote regional cooperation. He said that building a community with a shared future for mankind requires digital and intelligent technology to open up the sharing channels between trade, culture and ecology.

In order to share innovative cases of AI chip empowering the big data industry, Liao Qi, an academician of the International Academy of Sciences, proposed the concept of a community of shared future for the "Belt and Road" data link. He took low-altitude economy, satellite data link and other projects as examples, emphasizing the supporting role of the "three forces integration" of computing power, storage power and transportation capacity in global data circulation.

Qi Zurong, a decision-making consulting expert in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, focused on green buildings and new quality productivity, proposed that "big data AI" can achieve low-carbon management throughout the entire life cycle of the building, and shared a case of super plant factory: "Through the AI ​​agricultural digital cloud brain, the output value of one acre of land can be equal to 100 acres of land, which is a revolutionary reshaping of productivity by digital intelligence technology."

Wang Fei, director of Zhongkeji Big Data Technology Research Institute, demonstrated the achievements of independent and controllable analytical AI databases. This database has been applied to the digital fields of agriculture and enterprise. For example, AI agricultural digital cloud brain can accurately regulate the crop growth environment, while enterprise digital cloud brain realizes intelligent upgrades of public opinion analysis and case management.

Huang Yourui, general manager of Yahuan International Technology, shared his practical experience in digital transformation: through a low-code management platform, it helps companies such as Xiaomin Co., Ltd. build intelligent manufacturing systems, and the customer repurchase rate increases by 30%; digital rural projects integrate rural resources and promote the integrated development of culture, tourism and industry.

At the event site, representatives of units jointly built the "Belt and Road" signed a number of cooperation agreements and jointly witnessed the establishment of the "Belt and Road" International Big Data Industry Alliance. The alliance will be committed to the formulation of data standards, joint technical research and co-construction of scenarios, and promote the circulation of data elements between south and south countries.

The delegates at the meeting issued an initiative simultaneously, promising to build a multi-level cooperation ecosystem based on the principles of "voluntariness, sharing, and collaboration" to protect data security and civilization diversity. The initiative emphasizes: "The development of digital and intelligent technology needs to be in line with the human value orientation, so that intelligence can become a positive extension of civilization progress."

A number of innovative achievements were also displayed at the event: the RPP storage and computing integrated chip developed by the International Academician Innovation Center has a 5-fold increase in computing power density than traditional chips and a 70% reduction in energy consumption; the super plant factory regulates lighting, temperature and humidity through AI databases, achieving an annual output value of vegetables exceeding one million kilograms/mu; the digital management system of Yahuan International Technology has been applied in more than 20 government agencies and enterprises, shortening the project cycle by an average of 40%.

This exchange activity that brings together global wisdom not only injects digital and intelligent momentum into the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", but also uses data as a bridge and intelligence as a wing to promote the vision of common prosperity from a blueprint to reality.
