On August 14, 2024, the Cambodian General Chamber of Commerce and the National Duke General Chamber of Commerce jointly held a corporate business negotiation meeting in the National Duke Province. This event attracted the participation of many small and medium-sized enterprises at home and abroad and received sponsorship and support from many enterprises. At this negotiation meeting, the Qixinghai project became the focus of attention. Participants had the opportunity to visit Qixinghai International Airport, port, residential community and Diamond Bay. Deng Wei, marketing director of Binhai Urban Development Group, introduced the current development status and future prospects of Qixinghai in detail.

Since its launch in 2008, the Qixinghai project has been committed to building a global coastal resort destination with green ecological and smart technology. Its development vision is not limited to tourism, but also to become an important transportation hub for South Asia, Southeast Asia and ASEAN trade markets. Cambodia's Seven Star Sea, also known as the Cambodia-China Comprehensive Investment and Development Pilot Zone, is located in the Duke of Cambodia, covering an area of ​​360 square kilometers and has 90 kilometers of high-quality coastline. The project was included in the benchmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2016. It has a unique geographical location, distributed in an L-shaped manner along the Gulf of Thailand, and the construction area is 234 square kilometers. The lease period is up to 99 years, including one-third of the protected land, such as the world's second largest mangrove protected area.

Since the project was launched, Qixinghai has made significant progress. In terms of tourism facilities construction and supporting services, the region has gradually become a new hot spot for Cambodia's tourism. The representative of Binhai Urban Development Group shared the company's basic situation and development history during the event, and introduced the phased achievements of the Qixinghai project and the current promotion content. At present, the project has met complete supporting conditions in infrastructure construction, including roads, water, electricity, communication and other facilities.

In addition, Qixinghai also enjoys a series of investment advantages. For example, the land use period is 99 years and a green channel is provided to ensure that the land development reporting procedures are completed within two months. Investors can obtain long-term visas and enjoy QIP qualifications and preferential policies in the Special Economic Zone Law. More importantly, the region implements an open sky policy, allowing foreign flights to fly directly, while allowing foreign exchange funds to enter and exit freely, and exempting from profit reinvestment.

In terms of taxation, qualified investment projects can enjoy tax exemption policies such as imported production equipment and building materials. At the same time, a lower tariff rate is imposed on the export of products complying with the rules of origin. Furthermore, there is no inheritance tax in the region, which undoubtedly adds to its appeal as an investment destination.

Through this negotiation meeting, Qixinghai showed the world its huge potential as a comprehensive industrial park and warehousing and logistics center. Its rich natural resources and good security environment, coupled with a friendly cultural atmosphere to China, have created an ideal business environment for international investors.
