Data released by Xiamen Customs yesterday showed that in the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province imported and exported 568.66 billion yuan to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries, accounting for 52.3% of the province's total foreign trade value during the same period. In July, Fujian Province imported and exported 85.9 billion yuan to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year, showing strong resilience.

According to Xiamen Customs, private enterprises play a role in "taking the lead". During the same period, Fujian Province's private enterprises imported and exported 336.49 billion yuan to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries, accounting for 59.2% of the total import and export value of Fujian Province to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries during the same period. Among them, imports were 122.88 billion yuan, an increase of 13.8%.

Data shows that jointly building the "Belt and Road" promotes Fujian Province to accelerate the diversified development of import and export markets. Indonesia, Vietnam and Brazil are the main import and export partners of Fujian Province to jointly build the "Belt and Road" countries. During the same period, imports and exports were 66.92 billion yuan, 41.71 billion yuan and 32.73 billion yuan respectively; the trade growth with Guinea, Peru and Cambodia was eye-catching, with an increase of 96.8%, 25.3% and 20.8% respectively.

Data shows that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" is promoting the continuous optimization of Fujian Province's import and export structure. In terms of exports, mechanical and electrical products are the largest category of goods exported by Fujian Province to countries jointly building the "Belt and Road". Exports were 126.68 billion yuan in the first seven months, accounting for 40.9% of Fujian Province's total export value to countries jointly building the "Belt and Road" during the same period. In terms of imports, metal ore and ore sand, pulp and paper products, natural gas and basic organic chemicals have increased significantly, ensuring the manufacturing production and people's living needs in Fujian Province and surrounding provinces.
