Tang Muhai

Tang Muhai, born in Shanghai in 1949, is the son of famous film director Tang Xiaodan. He studied composition and conductor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Later, he entered the master class of the Munich Conservatory of Music. He studied with conductor Karayan for two years in Berlin. He also served as a conductor at the Tangowood Music Center in the United States under the guidance of Sei-r Ozawa. He served as an assistant to command master Bernstein.

In 1983, Karayan invited him to conduct a concert of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, thus laying the foundation for his conducting art to spread throughout the world music scene.

. Since then, he not only collaborated with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra many times, but also conducted many world-renowned orchestras one after another. In 1984, he led the German Bamberg Symphony Orchestra to visit China. In 1997, he directed the premiere of the opera "Fate Like a String" by Chinese composer Qu Xiaosong at the Brussels International Music Festival. In 1999, he directed the French Rhine Opera House to successfully perform the opera "The Wandering Dutch" at the Shanghai Grand Theater.

In 2002, he became the chief conductor of the Finnish National Opera. This is another Asian conductor after Seiji Ozawa was the chief conductor of the Vienna State Opera in 2000.

Two Rossini operas "Earl of Oli" and "Othello" directed by the Zurich Opera House (starring Cecilia Bartoli) from 2011 to 2014 were produced and distributed worldwide by Deeca Records. In 2015, he conducted the new version of Rossini's opera "Ocelo" at the "Opera Temple" Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy, and was the first Chinese conductor to direct opera in the season in the 237 years since its establishment. The "Beethoven PK Mahler Symphony Complete Series" completed by the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra between 2015 and 2016 can be called a miracle in the history of world symphony interpretation.
In 2016, Master Tang Muhai directed the Chinese premiere of Debussy's opera "Pelias and Melisand" and Baron Britton's opera "Screws Tighten" and "Lucless's Incest". He also conducted Wagner's large-scale musical "The Ring of Nibelungen" in China every year since 2017, and successfully directed the premiere of the original theater opera "Marco Polo" in the Guangzhou Grand Theater and the world premiere at the Felici Opera in Genoa, Italy in 2019.
Master Tang Muhai also led many European symphony orchestras and Chinese art groups to tour China and around the world. In the 1990s, he led the Chinese and Shanghai Youth Symphony Orchestra to successfully visit Europe more often, especially in 2018, when he led the Shanghai National Orchestra to perform traditional Chinese music in the world's most prestigious concert halls such as the Barbican Center in London, Paris, Berlin and the Elbe Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg, which caused a huge sensation in the industry at home and abroad.
On May 15, 2019, he was invited to conduct the opening ceremony of the Asian Cultural Carnival at the National Stadium (Bird's Nest). On July 20, as the artistic director and chief conductor of the Harbin Symphony Orchestra (the first Chinese Symphony Orchestra established in 1908), he led the troupe to perform successfully at the opening ceremony of the Salzburg Art Festival, making it the first Chinese Symphony Orchestra invited by the festival.

Violinist | Lin Shushuai
He studied under Professor Li Zhenggen, a famous violin educator. He once studied with violinists Ning Feng and Mark in Berlin, Germany. He was invited to study and perform at the two German "Dongfusley" International Music Festival in 2010 and 2011, Strathvari International Music Festival in the United States, and Seoul International Summer Camp in South Korea. He received high praise from masters, including German violin master Oliveira, Professor Adam of the Hannover Conservatory of Music, as well as violinists and other masters.
In 2019, he went to Austria, Novosibirsk, Russia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra to perform in many places in Niigata. He was invited to participate in the conductor Master Zubin Mehta performing on the same stage with the famous Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In the same year, he was invited by Busan City to participate in the East Asian Cultural Forest Exchange Festival and performed in cooperation with musicians from Japan and South Korea. Since 2017, he has performed many violin concertos with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra. The well-known musicians who have worked with include famous conductors Tang Muhai, Zubin Mehta, Zhang Guoyong, Li Xincao, Zhu Qiyuan, Zhang Yi, Chief Roman of the London Symphony Orchestra, violinists Elmar, Bokor, Yang Xiaoyu, cellist Rousi, etc.
He has won many awards at home and abroad: China Wenhua Art Academy Awards National Youth Violin Competition, China "Golden Bell Award" Violin Competition, Shenzhen Asia-Pacific Youth International Instrumental Competition Gold Award in Guangzhou International String Music Competition; Shenyang Conservatory of Music First place in the "Luyi Cup" violin competition; Beijing Forbidden City International Violin Competition; and as 24 contestants selected from the world, he went to Oberlin, the United States to participate in the violin competition, and also won excellent results in the Hong Kong International Violin Competition, Shenyang Conservatory of Music "Luyi Cup" tee competition, and Sichuan Guangya International Violin Competition.
