On September 15, the Jiangsu themed interview activity of "Violent China Research Tour" in 2025 was launched in Wuxi City. Jiangsu is the forefront of my country's opening up to the outside world, and opening up is an outstanding advantage of Jiangsu's development. The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce closely follows the important positioning of the intersection of the "Belt and Road" and aims to build a two-way opening hub with world aggregation. It actively responds to the severe and complex external environment, and strives to stabilize foreign trade and foreign investment, build a high-end platform for opening up to the outside world, and increase institutional opening-up to the forefront, which has effectively served the overall development of the province and the whole country. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the Provincial Department of Commerce has insisted on upholding the truth and innovating, deepening reform and opening up, winning the initiative of development with the initiative of opening up, and a more dynamic open economic system has been accelerated. It is specifically reflected in the "three accelerations": the accelerated cultivation of new momentum for foreign trade, the accelerated aggregation of high-quality foreign investment, and the accelerated promotion of deep-level opening up.

Jiangsu's import and export scale ranks second in the country for 22 consecutive years, and the actual scale of foreign capital use has remained first in the country for 7 consecutive years. In the first half of this year, the province achieved a regional GDP of 6.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, 0.4 percentage points higher than the national average, and the economic growth continued to remain the first in the country. From January to July this year, foreign trade imports and exports reached 3.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, 1.7 percentage points higher than the national scale, reaching a new high, reflecting the strong resilience and vitality of foreign trade and industry; the actual use of foreign capital was US$12.41 billion, and the scale continued to remain the first in the country.

The province's industrial and information technology system fully utilizes Jiangsu's advantages as a manufacturing province, focuses on the construction of the "1650" industrial system, and steadily promotes the work of stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment in the industrial field. The export scale of industrial enterprises has grown steadily, the export structure of industrial products has been optimized, the backbone enterprises have performed well, and the proportion of foreign investment in manufacturing has increased. In the promotion of specific work, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has focused on four aspects: highlighting the main position of enterprise innovation and promoting the innovative development of foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises; highlighting digital and intelligent empowerment and efficiency enhancement, and promoting foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises to enhance their overall competitiveness; highlighting the coordination of "group chain enterprises" to promote the cluster development of foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises; highlighting the construction of a first-class business environment, and creating a good ecology conducive to the common development of foreign trade and foreign-invested enterprises.
