On September 9, Vice President Han Zheng attended the 2025 Global Energy Internet Conference in Beijing and delivered a speech.

Han Zheng said that in September 2015, President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the United Nations Development Summit, proposing to build a global energy Internet, promote the meeting of global electricity demand in a clean and green way, and provide a Chinese solution for the world's energy transformation and sustainable development. Over the past decade, this initiative has been highly recognized and actively responded to by the international community.
Han Zheng pointed out that at present, the global energy system is undergoing profound changes, and the low-carbon transformation of the energy structure is accelerating. China has always been a firm activist and important contributor to the world's green development. Faced with new changes and new trends, President Xi Jinping proposed a new energy security strategy of "four revolutions, one cooperation", which pointed out the direction for China's energy development in the new era and opened up a new path for energy development with Chinese characteristics.
Han Zheng put forward four initiatives. First, jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation of energy. Deepen cooperation in the fields of renewable energy power generation, power grid interconnection, smart energy, etc., and promote the effective implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Paris Agreement. The second is to jointly promote energy technology innovation. Jointly carry out research and development of clean energy utilization technology to promote the deep integration and development of energy and electricity with modern information, new materials, advanced manufacturing and other technologies. The third is to jointly promote sustainable energy development. Strengthen cooperation in energy accessibility and help developing countries improve their energy security capabilities and levels. Fourth, jointly promote cooperation in energy resources and production capacity. Promote the connectivity of cross-border and cross-regional energy infrastructure to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results.

Before the conference began, Han Zheng’s inspection results display booth and interacted with the exhibition organizations and the heads of the enterprise. Enterprises and institutions such as State Grid, Southern Power Grid, Huaneng Group, Huadian Group, Three Gorges Group, Oriental Electric, China Power Construction, China Electric Equipment, China Green Development, Huawei, Shaanxi Investment Group, Longi Green Energy, Weisheng Holdings, China Power Construction Association, Yushu Technology and other companies participated in the exhibition of results.
This conference is an important event on the 10th anniversary of the Global Energy Internet Initiative. It officially opened on September 8. The conference lasts for 3 days. A total of 1 plenary conference, 24 parallel forums and 1 achievement exhibition.
Xin Baoan, Chairman of the Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization and Chairman of the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, presided over the plenary meeting on the morning of the 9th and delivered a keynote speech. China's Special Envoy for Climate Change, Liu Zhenmin, and Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, Yuan Da attended the conference and delivered speeches. Xiao Zonghui, member of the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, attended the conference.

Xin Baoan said that in the past ten years since the Global Energy Internet Initiative was proposed, the Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Organization") has adhered to its original mission, held high the banner of green and low-carbon development, and with the strong support of the United Nations, governments, and corporate institutions, it has promoted the global energy Internet from initiative to action and from concept to reality. The Global Energy Internet Initiative has been included in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, and biodiversity conservation. It has been written into the United Nations Sustainable Development Policy Recommendations Report for six consecutive years, and has included multilateral mechanisms such as the "Belt and Road" construction, China-Arab cooperation, China-Africa cooperation, and the Ministerial Conference of Clean Energy. It has been widely recognized and actively supported by more than 100 countries and international organizations.
Xin Baoan proposed to accelerate the construction of five actions to the global energy Internet. First, accelerate the reliable replacement of clean energy, accelerate the large-scale and efficient development of various types of clean energy, improve the economic and reliability of clean energy power generation, and achieve a comprehensive replacement of fossil energy. The second is to accelerate the process of new electrification and promote the comprehensive and in-depth replacement of fossil energy through green electricity and electricity generation in the fields of industry, construction, transportation, agriculture, residents' lives, etc. The third is to accelerate the interconnection of energy and electricity, strengthen the cross-border and cross-continental interconnection of the power grid, promote the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the power grid, and promote the optimized allocation of clean energy in a larger range, higher efficiency and lower cost. Fourth, accelerate the innovation and development of the technology industry, focus on key areas of energy transformation such as new energy, new energy storage, digital and intelligent power grid, and source, grid, load and storage collaboration, and promote the deep integration of the global clean energy industry chain, innovation chain, and value chain. Fifth, strengthen international cooperation in energy and electricity, promote policy communication and coordination among countries, deepen cooperation in energy trade and capacity, build a fair, just, balanced and inclusive global energy governance system, and promote the sharing of the results of transformation and development by all countries.
