The 2025 "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum with the theme of "sharing media responsibilities to promote mutual learning in civilizations" was held in Kunming City, Yunnan Province on the 16th. The media can be good practitioners and promoters of the Silk Road spirit, and actively spread the civilization concept of equality, mutual learning, dialogue and inclusiveness; be good recorders and narrators of development achievements, continue to report in-depth on the vivid practice of jointly building the "Belt and Road" and widely gather positive energy for win-win cooperation; be good participants and promoters of mutual learning in civilization, and use high-quality news works to enhance understanding, break barriers, and gather the strength of the masses, so as to make the foundation for building a community with a shared future for mankind stronger.

Yu Shaoliang, president of the People's Daily, said that the "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum provides a platform for dialogue, exchanges and practical cooperation among media in various countries. It is hoped that media in various countries will make good use of this platform and play an active role in jointly building the "Belt and Road" in promoting the development of national relations, communicating people's hearts and opinions, and deepening understanding and mutual trust. He proposed that future development should focus on three aspects: building consensus on development and building a solid foundation of trust; promoting practical cooperation and opening up a path of prosperity; deepening civilized exchanges and playing the song of friendship.

Today, the spirit of inheriting the "Belt and Road" initiative has not only expanded the prospects of international cooperation, but also reshaped the partnership on the basis of common development and mutual respect.

The "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum has been successfully held for 9 sessions since its establishment in 2014.
