On September 18, the symposium on economic and trade cooperation between China (Guangxi) (Belt and Road) jointly built by the "Belt and Road" countries was held in Nanning, Guangxi. The symposium aims to deepen cooperation between China and the countries jointly built by the "Belt and Road" in the field of economic and trade, promote high-level opening up and high-quality development, and attract the participation of envoys from many countries to China, representatives of international organizations and entrepreneurs.

Liu Yongmei, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. She said that as a frontier window for China's open cooperation to ASEAN, Guangxi is actively integrating into the construction of the "Belt and Road" and hopes to further expand pragmatic cooperation with the co-construction countries in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, etc. through this symposium, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Tafera Debe Imam, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to China, spoke at the meeting, emphasizing that Ethiopia attaches great importance to economic and trade relations with China and is willing to use the "Belt and Road" initiative to deepen cooperation between the two sides in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, digital economy, etc.

During the symposium, three guests made keynote speeches. Khalid Milade, the plenipotentiary ambassador of the Egyptian Embassy in China, shared Egypt's cooperation achievements and future opportunities under the framework of the "Belt and Road"; Mkhitaryan Davit, vice chairman of the Armenia-China Cooperation and Development Center and chief representative of China, introduced the cooperation potential and key projects between Armenia and China.

It is worth noting that Zhang Guiping, director of the Beijing Office of the Belt and Road African Economic Promotion Association and member of the Wuhu CPPCC of Anhui Province, made a keynote speech, reflecting the responsibility of CPPCC members to actively perform their functions of participating in politics and discussing politics and devote themselves to international exchanges and cooperation. In his speech, Zhang Guiping put forward suggestions on "new opportunities and new paths for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation", emphasizing that the connection between small and medium-sized enterprises should be strengthened, the cooperation in industrial chains should be deepened, and the development of green economy and digital trade should be promoted. Based on her experience in international business, she proposed a pragmatic and feasible cooperation plan, which attracted high attention from the delegates.
