Guazhou honey melons were exported to the UAE for the first time, Jingning potatoes were exported to Kyrgyzstan for the first time, and Longnan’s first imported agricultural products Central Asia train arrived successfully... This is a vivid picture of the prosperity of Gansu, and it is also a vivid moment for Gansu to promote development through openness. According to Lanzhou Customs statistics, in the first eight months of this year, Gansu imported and exported 31.93 billion yuan to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries, an increase of 15.3%, accounting for 74.5% of the province's total import and export value.

In recent years, Gansu has deeply integrated into the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and the construction of the new western land-sea channel, built and used land channels, prospered air channels, and smooth online channels, and continuously strengthened Gansu's position as a strategic channel in the overall layout of the country's opening up to the west. Taking the three continental ports of Lanzhou, Tianshui and Wuwei, and the three major international airports of Lanzhou, Dunhuang and Jiayuguan as engines, "four-directional multiple" international freight trains are opened and operated, including China-Europe, Central Asia, South Asia, the new land-sea channel, the "China-Jiji-Ukraine" Central Asia channel, and the eastern sea port railway-sea transport, with routes covering more than 20 countries.

On the basis of channel construction, Gansu Province actively brought in and went out and integrated into the global economy.

Since the beginning of this year, the Provincial Department of Commerce has organized a symposium on overseas collaborative investment promotion work across the province to establish a collaborative linkage mechanism for overseas investment promotion. Gansu Co., Ltd., Ltd., an operation of the Land-Sea New Channel, actively connects with ASEAN enterprises, and fruits such as dragon fruit, green pomelo, durian and other fruits from Southeast Asia arrived in Lanzhou by road-rail transport. Gansu International Logistics Group has set up a Peru overseas warehouse to import 9,100 tons of silver concentrate, helping provincial enterprises to achieve optimal resource allocation worldwide. The "China-Jiji-U-A" international freight train has been shipped regularly, and Gansu's industrial and mining products, agricultural and special products and wind power equipment are delivered to Central Asia as quickly as possible.

Institutional opening is a significant sign of high-level opening up. At present, Gansu is implementing the "Optimizing the Business Environment and Comprehensively Improving the Year" action in depth, focusing on creating a market-oriented, law-based, internationalized and convenient business environment, promoting institutional opening up, and releasing new momentum for development.

The Lanzhou-Almaty TIR route has been opened, achieving the "one-order system" connection, and it has reached Central Asia in 4 days; Lanzhou and Dunhuang Airlines Ports have newly opened and resumed flights to Moscow, Almaty, Jakarta and other 9 passenger and freight routes, including "direct lifting of the apron", "direct loading to the port" and "land-air joint journey" modes, helping cross-border e-commerce goods to fly directly to Almaty after transferring to Lanzhou through Xi'an.

Ports are a window for high-level opening. Since the beginning of this year, Lanzhou Customs has continued to optimize the port business environment and improve the level of customs clearance facilitation. The "imported railway transportation copper concentrate 'port destination' inspection and remote video supervision" initiative has been launched, which has reduced the customs clearance time by more than 80%; the new "direct delivery" model has been launched, and exported cars only take 2 hours from arrival to loading, and the JSQ special carriage has increased the entire train transportation capacity by 50%; in view of the perishable imported grain, enterprises have been guided to adopt the "rail express" model, making the whole trip of grain trains in Kazakhstan and other countries take only 4 days and reduce logistics costs by 30%.
