Imports and exports to major trading partners continued to grow. In the first eight months, Gansu imported and exported 31.93 billion yuan to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" countries, an increase of 15.3%, accounting for 74.5% of the province's total foreign trade value. Imports and exports to other RCEP members were 12.17 billion yuan, an increase of 44.7%, accounting for 28.4% of the province's total foreign trade value. During the same period, Gansu's imports and exports to Kazakhstan were 9.48 billion yuan, an increase of 1.6%; imports and exports to Indonesia were 4.31 billion yuan, an increase of 104.6%; imports and exports to Australia were 4.17 billion yuan, an increase of 59.4%.

The vitality of foreign trade business entities is constantly bursting out. In the first eight months, Gansu state-owned enterprises imported and exported 27.41 billion yuan, an increase of 15.6%, accounting for 63.9% of the province's total foreign trade value. The total import and export value of private enterprises was 15.15 billion yuan, an increase of 25.0%, accounting for 35.3% of the province's total foreign trade value. The total import and export value of foreign-invested enterprises was 320 million yuan, an increase of 3.0%.

General trade and processing trade have achieved stable growth. In the first eight months, our province's general trade imports and exports reached 30.72 billion yuan, an increase of 25.4%, accounting for 71.6% of the province's total foreign trade value, an increase of 3.9 percentage points from the same period last year. Processing trade imports and exports were 11.02 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3%, accounting for 25.7% of the province's total foreign trade value. Bonded logistics import and export was 650 million yuan.

Exports such as electromechanical products and "new three" products have performed well. In the first eight months, Gansu exported 4.05 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, an increase of 7.3%, of which the export values ​​of furnace carbon electrodes and oil drilling and production equipment increased by 10.2% and 734.7% respectively. During the same period, Gansu's "new three" products (electric vehicles, photovoltaic products, lithium-ion batteries) exported 290 million yuan, an increase of 20.5 times, of which photovoltaic products exported 240 million yuan, an increase of 195.8 times. Exported agricultural products 2 billion yuan. Basic organic chemicals exported 330 million yuan.

Imports of metal ore sand, nickel sulfonium and nickel cobalt materials have continued to grow. In the first eight months, Gansu imported 24.24 billion yuan of metal ore sand, an increase of 24.8%, accounting for 74.7% of the total import value of the province; imported nickel sulfonium was 3.44 billion yuan, an increase of 61.9%; and imported nickel and cobalt materials were 1.4 billion yuan, an increase of 14.0%.
