On September 16, the 2025 "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum, co-organized by People's Daily, the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Provincial Government, was held in Kunming City. Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Ning, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, Wang Gang, Deputy Minister of the Central Propaganda Department, Yu Shaoliang, President of the People's Daily, Li Yang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport, Negoita, President of the Russian Russian newspaper, and Hani, Editor-in-Chief of the Saudi Arabian newspaper Riyadh, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Wang Yubo, deputy secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and governor, attended the meeting. Liu Jianping, director and deputy secretary of the Party Group of China National Nuclear Corporation, attended the forum and made a keynote speech.

During the keynote speech session, Liu Jianping made a keynote speech entitled "Collection of the Silk Road to Create the Future and Work with Global Partners to Draw a New Picture of Green Energy." Liu Jianping pointed out that under the initiative of jointly building the "Belt and Road" to win trust with its technical strength, build consensus with the concept of sharing, and work together with the "Belt and Road" partners to spread the fruits of nuclear energy cooperation. First, accelerate the development of new quality productivity and promote global energy transformation. China National Nuclear Corporation has a complete nuclear industry chain, and its nuclear scientific and technological innovation capabilities rank among the forefront in the world. It is committed to using clean energy to achieve the "dual carbon" development goal. Second, we will draw a blueprint for nuclear energy development with an open and win-win attitude. China National Nuclear Corporation has always adhered to consultation, joint construction and sharing, and has created a diversified international cooperation model in the fields of nuclear energy, nuclear technology application, nuclear safety, etc. Third, nuclear benefits people's livelihood and promotes mutual communication, and jointly build a nuclear and beautiful home. Taking power, energy, infrastructure, and urban services as the main lines, China National Nuclear Corporation has created a number of high-standard, sustainable and fruitful results that benefit people's livelihood.

Liu Jianping said that he sincerely looks forward to taking action with friends from all over the world, through joint reports and cross-cultural integration and exchange activities, he will work together to tell the "Belt and Road" nuclear energy story, build a platform for people-to-people communication, and protect the future of green development. During the forum, relevant persons in charge of China National Nuclear Corporation's China Spoke Association were invited to participate in the "Belt and Road" Regional Cooperation Forum and delivered speeches. After the meeting, Chinese and foreign media guests participating in the forum will also conduct joint interviews in Yunnan and other provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities to visit the Longjiang Hydropower Station in Mangshi, Yunnan.

Since its establishment in 2014, the "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum has been successfully held for 9 sessions. More than 1,000 representatives from foreign media and international and regional organizations from more than 100 countries and regions were invited to attend the meeting to unite our efforts to promote the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road". The theme of this "Belt and Road" Media Cooperation Forum is "Share media responsibilities and promote mutual learning in civilizations." More than 200 foreign representatives from 87 countries and international and regional organizations, 165 media and institutions attended the meeting.
