"The Belt and Road Initiative is committed to promoting economic globalization, effectively promoting trade liberalization, rational allocation of resources and the improvement of the global governance system. Tajikistan will continue to promote the in-depth docking of national development strategies with the Belt and Road Initiative, actively expand and deepen regional cooperation, and continuously promote new achievements in mutually beneficial cooperation." Tajikistan President Rahmon said in a joint interview with the People's Daily and other Chinese media in the Tajikistan capital Dushanbe recently.

Speaking of the upcoming second Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit Forum, Rahmon said that this forum will provide an important platform for countries to conduct constructive dialogue and consultation on sustainable development, which will help further enhance international cooperation. Tajikistan is full of expectations for the results of the forum.

Rahmon said: "Six years ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative, which is the inheritance and development of the spirit of the ancient Silk Road. The Belt and Road Initiative has provided a huge opportunity to promote common development in countries and regions along the route by strengthening and improving multilateral mechanisms."

Tajikistan is one of the first countries to sign a "Belt and Road" cooperation document with China. Rahmon said that infrastructure connectivity is an important part of Tajikistan-China cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road" and there is broad space for the two sides to cooperate in this field. "The construction of the Belt and Road Initiative effectively connects countries and regions along the route, so that countries without sea outlets can also connect with the international market, which will help us improve transit transportation efficiency, strengthen trade exchanges, and achieve practical development." Rahmon said that China is an important partner of Tajikistan. In the process of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, the two sides can also deepen cooperation in agriculture, energy, science and technology and other fields.

Speaking of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, Rahmon said that this concept fully demonstrates China's positive contribution to maintaining world peace and stability and promoting global development and prosperity, and will help promote inclusive development among all countries and create a better future for mankind. "The Belt and Road Initiative is a concrete manifestation of China's practice of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind." Rahmon said: "Tajikistan is willing to further consolidate Tajikistan-China relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, promote the in-depth development of the Belt and Road cooperation, and jointly benefit the people of the two countries and regions."
