Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, September 10th. The 2025 Global Service Trade Summit was held in Beijing on the 10th. Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, read out President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter at the summit. Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the summit and delivered a keynote speech.

Ding Xuexiang pointed out that since 2019, President Xi Jinping has delivered important video speeches or congratulatory letters to the China International Trade Fair every year, announcing a series of pragmatic measures to deepen open cooperation in service trade, fully demonstrating China's firm determination to expand high-level opening up to the outside world. Faced with the significant rise in unilateralism and protectionism, China has steadily promoted institutional opening up of service trade, improved the level of facilitation, and promoted the high-quality development of service trade to achieve new progress and new results, which not only provides strong impetus for its own development, but also opens up growth space for the world economy.

Ding Xuexiang said that China is willing to work with all countries and parties to deepen open cooperation in service trade and promote international trade and world economic growth. He put forward three suggestions: First, adhere to high-level opening-up, strengthen the docking of rules and regulation coordination, reduce barriers to service trade, and create a good environment for the development of service trade. Second, we will adhere to all-round innovation, adapt to the development trends of digitalization, networking and intelligence, strengthen international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data, etc., and promote the quality and upgrading of service trade development. Third, we will adhere to mutual benefit and win-win results, promote the negotiation and signing of more high-standard free trade agreements, and promote common prosperity through mutually beneficial cooperation in service trade.

Australian Prime Minister Albanys, Peruvian President Borualte, World Trade Organization Deputy Director-General Hill, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Deputy Secretary-General Moreno and relevant guests delivered videos or live speeches.

After the summit, Ding Xuexiang and Yin Li inspected the Exhibition Hall of the Service Trade Fair together. When communicating with the heads of exhibitors, Ding Xuexiang said that China will continue to promote high-level opening up to the outside world, actively expand the import and export of high-quality services, provide more development opportunities for Chinese and foreign enterprises, and better meet the needs of people of all countries' better life.

The 2025 Global Service Trade Summit was co-organized by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Ministry of Commerce and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and about 800 people including relevant Chinese and foreign parties attended.
