China News Service, Chongqing, October 15 (Reporter Zhong Yi) Ming Ju, director of the Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, said at a local press conference on the 15th that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Chongqing has promoted all-round and multi-level scientific and technological cooperation with countries co-building the "Belt and Road" and has achieved a series of results.
First, the scientific and technological cooperation network continues to expand. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, government and enterprise delegations from more than 20 countries, including Vietnam, Nepal, and Hungary, came to Chongqing to discuss cooperation; Chongqing signed more than 70 scientific and technological cooperation agreements with some scientific research institutes, universities, and enterprises in Belarus, Ethiopia and other countries in the fields of life science and technology, science and technology poverty alleviation and other fields. At the same time, the city established the “One Belt, One Road” University Science and Technology Cooperation Alliance, attracting 19 universities from 13 countries to become member units, and established an alliance innovation fund to provide continuous scientific research support for the sustainable development of the countries where the alliance member universities are located.

Secondly, international joint research and development is further promoted. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Chongqing has established 16 international scientific and technological cooperation bases, 18 countries have established R&D platforms in Chongqing, and implemented more than 60 international scientific and technological cooperation projects. It is worth mentioning that the network testing platform developed by the China-Korea Industrial Internet of Things "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory has provided services for nearly 40 Chinese and Korean companies in IoT testing and testing. The China-Hungary Food Science "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory has built the largest "fermented food microbial strain resource library" in southwest China. The strains it preserves with independent intellectual property rights can promote the development of fermented foods with local flavors and get rid of dependence on foreign strains.
In addition, in terms of international technology transfer, Chongqing has relied on the Chengdu-Chongqing Region “Belt and Road” International Technology Transfer Center to form the Chengdu-Chongqing Region “Belt and Road” International Technology Transfer Alliance, forming a technology transfer network composed of multiple national technology transfer centers with the Chengdu-Chongqing Region “Belt and Road” International Technology Transfer Center as the core. The cooperative research results such as "Industrial Production of Traditional Highland Barley Wine" have been successfully transformed and applied in 12 companies in China and Hungary.
Mingju said that in the next step, Chongqing will further highlight the theme of "technology industry" and continue to expand international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation. (over)
