The reason why scientific thinking is powerful is that it can accurately grasp the laws of historical development and the changing trends of the times, correctly answer the new issues raised by the evolution of the times for national development and human progress, and solve new problems that constantly arise in practice.

Innovation is an important force in promoting national and national development and social progress. In today's era, the accelerated iteration of science and technology is reshaping the global competitive landscape, and innovation determines the country's future. Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought emphasizes insisting on innovative development and insists on the core position of innovation in the overall situation of my country’s modernization drive, fundamentally solving the problem of the driving force of development. The recently released "Global Innovation Index Report 2025" shows that China ranks among the top ten in the world for the first time.

Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, China has seized the opportunities brought by economic globalization, deeply participated in the international division of labor, and rapidly improved its economic strength. However, the "two ends outside" development pattern of markets and resources formed in the past has potential risks in the turbulent international economic situation. In 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out forward-looking that development must be based at home, give full play to the advantages of the domestic ultra-large-scale market, and build a new development pattern. Accelerating the construction of a new development pattern is the path choice for China's economic development. This has highlighted its strategic significance today when anti-globalization thoughts are on the rise, unilateralism and protectionism are rising, and trade wars and tariff wars have seriously disrupted the international economic and trade order.

China has achieved two miracles: rapid economic development and long-term social stability. The results of development have benefited the people to the greatest extent, and there have been qualitative improvements in per capita income, education, medical care, housing and other aspects. Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought emphasizes that development must be people-centered. It not only solves the problem of development for whom, but also takes the satisfaction of people’s needs and their all-round development as the goals of economic development. It also creates higher-quality workers who are important elements of productivity, especially new-quality productivity, and cultivates a super-large domestic market, thus creating an inexhaustible driving force for economic development.

The growth momentum of the world economy is insufficient, local conflicts and turbulence occur frequently, and the problem of unbalanced development is prominent. General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind; proposed the joint construction of the "Belt and Road"; proposed global development initiatives, global security initiatives, global civilization initiatives, and global governance initiatives; proposed improving global economic governance and building a cooperative world economy. Xi Jinping’s economic thoughts are full of profound feelings about the world and humanity. They have contributed Chinese wisdom to global issues such as coordinating competition and cooperation among countries and promoting inclusive growth, and provided Chinese solutions to the question of “where is the world going?”

Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought contains major theoretical and practical propositions and profoundly answers questions about China, the world, the people, and the times. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country has made significant achievements in development. The "15th Five-Year Plan" recommends a series of strategic arrangements to accelerate self-reliance in high-level science and technology, develop new productive forces in accordance with local conditions, build a new development pattern, and solidly promote the common prosperity of all people. There are still many difficulties on the journey of Chinese-style modernization, but as long as we are on the right path, we will not be afraid of difficulties. Only by studying, thinking and practicing Xi Jinping’s economic thoughts can we have a deeper understanding of today’s and future China’s economy, and master the “golden key” to do a good job in economic work.
