The documentary "The Belt and Road Retraces Xuanzang Road" was planned in August 2016 and went to Xi'an, Shaanxi, Guazhou, Gansu, India and other places to survey the landscape in November. A Sino-Indian seminar was held in Beijing in March 2017, a filming launch ceremony was held in Xi'an in April, and a start-up ceremony was held in Guazhou County on October 15.

Guazhou County preserves the temples where Xuanzang preached the scriptures on the way to obtain the scriptures, the city where the officials allowed the prefectures to be allowed to be held, the place where the disciples and horses were collected, the place where the Hulu River crossed the night, the remains of the five beacons outside Yumen Pass, and the ruins of the Moheyanchi Ancient Road. There are also six pictures of Xuanzang's journey to the West preserved in Yulin Cave and Dongqian Buddha Cave. More than 300 years ago, Wu Cheng'en's novel Journey to the West was written. 16 cultural relics related to Xuanzang in the county constitute the profound and profound Guazhou Xuanzang culture.
