The world-renowned iF Design Award – known as the "Oscar of the design industry" since its founding in 1953 – marks another milestone for MGM in the design field. This honor has enabled the museum to stand side by side with Kunming Shanhai Art Museum, as well as the "Art of Life - Mawangdui Han Dynasty Culture Immersive Digital Exhibition" jointly created by the China Digital Library and Hunan Museum.

In the immersive vestibule of the museum, a magnificent multimedia dome installation interprets the interweaving of celestial movements and human memory in the form of visual poems. The iconic bracket columns in the exhibition hall are a treasure of traditional Chinese architectural craftsmanship. The surface is decorated with exquisite cloisonné (copper-tied cloisonné enamel) intangible cultural heritage, which perfectly combines historical skills with modern aesthetics, which is breathtaking.

The museum abandons the design rude of traditional museums, and its innovative exhibition space gives the exhibition unparalleled flexibility and diversity. The chessboard-style stone floor is inlaid with cultural totems from 12 countries along the Silk Road, as if leading the audience on a symbolic journey, recreating the glorious footprints of the ancient Silk Road from east to west. Advanced cultural relics display technology and intangible cultural heritage crafts complement each other, creating an interactive platform for the audience, allowing them to communicate with historical relics and contemporary art in a completely new way.
