"It can simultaneously measure the electromagnetic components in the cluster and the number of thermal neutrons generated by the core region hasrons to detect the cosmic ray composition and energy spectrum of the 'knee' region. This is the first time that thermal neutron detection technology has been applied in high-altitude cosmic ray measurement."
