People's Daily Tonghai, June 13 (Zeng Zhihui, Wang Xian) In the early morning, Tonghai Wanhe Import and Export Co., Ltd., located in Tonghai County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, was busy. Cabbage, cabbage, broccoli, etc. are quickly weighed, packed, pre-cooled, and loaded under the skillful operation of workers. Under the "care" of precise temperature control of cold chain logistics, these fresh vegetables will go directly to Mohan Port along the Kunmo Expressway, or take the China-Laos Railway International Cold Chain Special Train to "go abroad", and will become a delicious dish on the dining table of Southeast Asian people in 3 days.
The temperature in summer is high, so vegetables must be allowed to cross thousands of miles and still maintain fresh and tender quality. Strong cold chain logistics is the guarantee. In recent years, Tonghai County has continued to integrate into the "golden channel" of China-Laos Railway International, Kunman International Channel, China-Vietnam International Railway Channel, etc., and accelerate the formation of a modern logistics system of "hub node channel network", and strive to open up the seamless cold chain transportation chain of sea vegetables from the fields to the urban dining table. "The stability and efficiency of cold chain transportation allow us to better expand foreign markets and increase the export varieties and sales of vegetables." said Zhang Xuxu, general manager of Tonghai Wanhe Import and Export Co., Ltd.
As the largest vegetable production base in Yunnan Province, Tonghai County has now formed a complete vegetable industry chain covering planting, processing and logistics. Today, 8,497 agricultural operators in the county work together, and more than 800,000 tons of high-quality vegetables are distributed here every year. 37 vegetable import and export trading companies transport 30% of fresh vegetables to Southeast Asia and the Middle East market through the dual channels of China-Laos Railway and highway, accounting for more than one-third of Yunnan's agricultural product exports.
With the efforts to build the "Belt and Road" and the "golden channel" of the China-Laos Railway, the sea-to-sea vegetables are crossing the mountains and seas, adding color to the "world dining table".
