On June 12, the "Belt and Road" University Science and Technology Cooperation Alliance Presidents' Roundtable Conference, co-organized by Chongqing University and Sichuan University, was held in Chengdu. This conference gathers global wisdom and resources around keywords such as "cross-domain AI cooperation", breaks down barriers between disciplines, regions and countries, jointly explores and innovates education models, improves scientific research level, and cultivates high-quality talents who meet the needs of future development.

At the conference, the "Belt and Road" University Science and Technology Cooperation Alliance Exchange and Cooperation Plan was released, providing solid institutional and financial guarantees for joint research projects, joint training of innovative talents, and transfer and transformation of technological achievements, injecting new impetus into promoting high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road".
During the roundtable forum session, the guests focused on the topic of "College-domain AI Cooperation: Co-building a 'Belt and Road' new ecology of college education, science and technology, and talent".
During the meeting, representatives of teachers and students from colleges and universities also asked questions on how to combine AI with urban planning and cultural protection, and how to use artificial intelligence to promote ecological environment construction. The presidents of colleges and universities shared their experiences and future thoughts from various schools with a global perspective and focused on the development prospects of artificial intelligence.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Third Council of the "Belt and Road" University Science and Technology Cooperation Alliance was also held to build consensus around multilateral dialogue, information sharing, system construction and other levels to draw up a blueprint for future development. At the meeting, the alliance added four member units including Bandung University of Technology, Tashkent University of Architecture, Hunan University, and Sichuan University, and awarded plaques on site. So far, there have been 19 universities in the alliance.
