Sun Meijun introduced that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the national customs have loyally fulfilled their responsibilities and missions to protect the country's borders and promote development, and have made great progress in customs modernization construction, providing strong support for high-quality development and high-level opening up. It is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

New achievements have been made in protecting national security. We will unswervingly implement the overall national security concept, build an integrated full-factor risk prevention and control system, and make the national security barrier stronger. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, customs have supervised an average annual import and export of goods of 5.2 billion tons and a value of 41.5 trillion yuan, the largest in the world, safe, stable and controllable. A total of 5.15 million prohibited items such as government-related guns and explosions have been seized, more than 70 infectious diseases have been detected, and more than 200,000 batches of unqualified goods have been disposed of, resolutely blocking unsafe risks from the country. Comprehensive tax management and taxation and management in accordance with the law, with a total tax of 9.7 trillion yuan. We have maintained a high-pressure situation in combating smuggling, and a total of 23,000 smuggling crimes have been investigated and handled, and smuggling crimes in key areas, key areas and key commodities have been effectively curbed.

New breakthroughs have been achieved in facilitation of customs clearance. Adhere to institutional innovation and technological empowerment, comprehensively strengthen the construction of smart customs, and comprehensively realize national customs clearance integration. The "single window" of international trade has become the "digital portal" for my country and the world trade connectivity. The "one-stop service" matters have reached 964 items in 25 categories, basically covering the entire chain and links of cross-border trade. Online and mobile customs clearance services have become the norm. "Smart Travel Inspection" covers 80% of aviation ports, and passengers can clear the clearance without any sense and quickly.

Open channels and platform construction has reached a new level. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, my country has added and expanded its opening-up ports, and the total number has now reached 311, basically forming a three-dimensional port opening layout of water, land and air, and an all-round port opening layout in the east, middle and west. The China-Europe Express Train Assemblies Center has transformed and upgraded from "point-to-point" to "hub-to-hub". Comprehensive bonded areas and other special customs supervision areas have become new highlands for opening up to the outside world. Less than one-twenty-one thousandth of the land area contributes 1/5 of the total import and export value of the country.

New progress has been made in promoting high-quality development. We innovate the supervision models of new business formats such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouses, and "bonded " to promote regional coordinated development, accelerate the improvement of new momentum for foreign trade, and make the production and supply chain safer and more stable. In 2024, my country's total trade in goods reached 43.8 trillion yuan, ranking first in the world for eight consecutive years. Imports and exports increased by 3.5% year-on-year from January to July this year, of which exports increased by 7.3%. my country's foreign trade showed strong resilience and vitality.

International cooperation and win-win expansion of new space. Firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system, oppose unilateralism, and counter bullying.
