The "shared" development concept of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative seems to have changed from a vision to an action, from a vision to a reality, making the initiative one of the most important development plans in the 21st century.
The Pakistan Observer website published an article titled "The Belt and Road Initiative and the SCO: The intersection of development and prosperity" on August 27, with the author Mahmoud Ur Hassan Khan. The article is compiled as follows:
The "shared" development concept of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative seems to have changed from a vision to an action, from a vision to a reality, making the initiative one of the most important development plans in the 21st century.
Over the past 12 years, the initiative has advocated the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, turning crises into opportunities, building bridges rather than building walls, integrating peace, prosperity, openness, innovation with social progress, laying the foundation for global well-being.
The initiative to jointly build the "Belt and Road" has attracted more than 150 countries to participate. In modern history, few projects have achieved such a broad integration in such a short time. The initiative encourages southern countries around the world to strive for a better economic future, improve population quality of life, strengthen international equity and global governance through dialogue, diplomacy and development.
Encouragingly, the initiative has turned the landlocked Central Asian countries into a land-to-sea country, opening the door to the global market in this region. The economic and social development of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have made significant progress.
China actively supports infrastructure projects in Central Asia through the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Investment and technical support from China deepened economic ties and promoted regional integration. This collaboration has strengthened China's role as a major partner while adhering to the principle of equality among SCO member states.
The six founding member states of the SCO have historical ties with the ancient Silk Road. Chinese leaders have regarded the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative as an important driving force for cooperation and have revived this tradition.
Over the past 12 years, China has used the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative to promote all-round cooperation with SCO member states and accelerate diversified development. Through the docking development strategy, China and SCO member states have achieved fruitful results in infrastructure, trade, finance and other fields.
The "Belt and Road" initiative and the SCO have jointly promoted the journey of common progress and prosperity with the help of large-scale projects of peace. As an important platform for maintaining peace and development, the SCO continues to be committed to promoting regional stability and prosperity by enhancing unity, mutual trust and equity of member countries.
China's innovative suggestions to promote efficient cooperation in the SCO, such as strengthening strategic docking, expanding cooperation, responding to major risks, deepening personnel exchanges, etc., are all directions worthy of recognition.
Beijing is also committed to building a consensus on development and security among SCO member states, and at the same time, it also upholds the principle of win-win cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. China has expertise in e-commerce, green energy, infrastructure, industrialization, digitalization and artificial intelligence, and is willing to share opportunities with its partners. Various investments have demonstrated China's firm commitment to jointly building a prosperous, green and sustainable SCO.
