Cooperation in scientific and technological innovation is an important part of jointly building the "Belt and Road". During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Ministry of Science and Technology implemented the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan in depth, successfully held two "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Exchange Conferences and the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Innovation Ministers' Meeting, initiated the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Science and Technology Innovation Community, established a wide-field and multi-level cooperation mechanism, and solidly promoted four measures: science and technology and cultural exchanges, joint construction of joint laboratories, technology transfer and science and technology park cooperation, and launched six "Belt and Road" science and technology innovation special cooperation plans, including sustainable development technology, space information technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, science and technology poverty reduction, artificial intelligence and traditional Chinese medicine.

In terms of jointly building cooperation platforms, my country and nearly 50 countries have jointly launched the construction of more than 70 "Belt and Road" joint laboratories, and built 10 international technology transfer platforms for ASEAN, Africa, Latin America and other regions. The number of members of the "Belt and Road" International Science Organization Alliance has reached 78.

In terms of joint research, we jointly funded nearly 4,000 joint research projects with the co-construction country, achieved many scientific and technological innovation achievements, helped to improve the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of the co-construction country, promote the economic and social development of the country and the improvement of people's lives, and injected a steady stream of development momentum into the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

In terms of cultural exchanges, we have supported more than 55,000 young scientists from co-construction to China to work in short-term work exchanges, and trained more than 23,000 scientific and technological and managers in co-construction. The "Belt and Road" Youth Maker Camp and Teachers' Seminars cover more than 60 co-construction countries, and the many scientific and technological talents cultivated have become an important force in co-construction to jointly build the country's scientific and technological innovation and development.

Open exchanges and cooperation are the background color of scientific and technological innovation, and China's door to scientific and technological opening will open wider and wider.
