China News Service, Nanning, September 17th. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng attended the opening ceremony of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit in Nanning, Guangxi on the morning of the 17th and delivered a speech.

Han Zheng said that China and ASEAN countries are connected by landscapes and cultural heritage, and friendly exchanges have a long history. In 2021, President Xi Jinping proposed to jointly build the "five major gardens" of peace, tranquility, prosperity, beauty and friendship, and draw a new blueprint for China-ASEAN cooperation and point out the direction for progress. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both sides, the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership has continued to deepen in recent years, becoming the most successful and dynamic example of Asia-Pacific regional cooperation and a vivid example of promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. China is willing to continue to work with ASEAN countries to live in harmony and cooperate with win-win cooperation, and to promote the construction of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future to a new level with a more positive attitude and more pragmatic measures, and make more contributions to regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Han Zheng put forward four suggestions: First, strengthen the docking of each other's development strategies, jointly build the "Belt and Road" with high quality, and jointly implement the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, and Global Governance Initiative. The second is to accelerate the pace of regional openness and cooperation, jointly build the 3.0 version of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone, and continue to implement the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" with high quality. The third is to promote the coordinated development of the industrial chain and supply chain, continuously expand cooperation in emerging industries, and jointly maintain the stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain. Fourth, enhance civilized exchanges and mutual learning, promote the convenience of personnel exchanges, and implement more projects that win the hearts of the people, follow the opinions of the people, and benefit the people's livelihood.

Han Zheng pointed out that China will insist on providing more opportunities for the world with high-level opening up to the outside world and promote common development of all countries with its own high-quality development. The China-ASEAN Expo and the Business and Investment Summit are grand events to promote friendly exchanges between China and ASEAN and an important platform for promoting regional development cooperation. We hope that all parties can make full use of this platform, share opportunities and promote the future together.

Myanmar Prime Minister Niusuo, Laos Vice President Bentong, Cambodia Deputy Prime Minister and Cabinet General Office Onseviso, Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Water Transformation Fadira, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Mei Wenzheng, and ASEAN Secretary-General Gao Jinhong attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches one after another.

Afterwards, Han Zheng announced the opening of the expo and opened with the guests.
