Nguyen Chongqing, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, Ning Chenggong, Minister of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, Zheng Fang, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, Zhu Yihai, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, as well as representatives of travel agencies, airlines, and news media from China and Vietnam attended the event.

Ruan Chongqing delivered an opening speech at the meeting. He said that Vietnam and China have huge development potential and broad prospects in tourism cooperation. The Vietnam National Tourism Administration hopes to work with Chinese partners to fully tap the potential of the two countries’ rich tourism resources and promote the sustainable development of the tourism industry.

Ning Chenggong pointed out in his speech that tourism exchanges are the highlight of bilateral relations and have built an important bridge for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and other fields. In addition, tourism can help deepen the mutual understanding between the two peoples, build friendly consensus, and further build the public opinion foundation of bilateral relations.

Zheng Fang said that China is willing to strengthen communication with relevant Vietnamese institutions and jointly explore new paths and models for cultural and tourism cooperation. This will not only allow more Vietnamese people to understand Beijing, but also allow Beijing residents to deeply experience the charm of Vietnam and bring a better cultural and tourism experience to the people of the two countries.

Zhu Yihai said that the tourism resources of Tianjin and Vietnam have their own characteristics and are highly complementary. Tourism cooperation between the two places has a good foundation and broad prospects. This event is of great significance to further promote cooperation and exchanges in the tourism industry between China and Vietnam and enhance the friendship and friendly cooperation between the two peoples.
