China News Service, Kunming, September 14 (Luanzi Hengba Deqing) Kunming Customs reported on the 13th that in the first eight months of this year, the total import and export value of Yunnan Province to the countries co-building the "Belt and Road" reached 153.8 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 12.5% (the same below), accounting for 85.9% of Yunnan's total import and export value. Among them, exports were 48.08 billion yuan, an increase of 17.7%; imports were 105.72 billion yuan, an increase of 10.3%.
Recently, at the continuous citrus planting base in Huaning County, Yuxi City, workers are skillfully picking ripe citrus. After cleaning, grading, packaging and customs inspection, these citrus are sent to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand and other countries co-building the “Belt and Road”. According to statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the value of fresh citrus exported under Yuxi Customs supervision reached 547 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 159%.

"In the past, our citrus was mainly sold domestically. After successfully obtaining export qualifications last year, we finally went directly to the international market." Zhang Chengxue, general manager of Huaning Huifeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. introduced.
In order to promote the efficient "going global" of Yunnan Plateau specialty agricultural products, Kunming Customs has established a "customer-enterprise one-to-one" assistance mechanism in response to the export needs of enterprises. It provides technical guidance on the entire process from orchard pest control, pesticide residue monitoring to fruit packaging labeling, and continues to help enterprises improve product quality and ensure compliance with the access standards of the destination country. In the customs clearance process, we innovatively implemented the "appointment inspection centralized inspection" model, set up a green channel for "inspection appointment specialists", and piloted centralized operations in key production areas. The inspection time for a single batch of goods was reduced by 90%, helping fruits to quickly clear customs.
According to Kunming Customs statistics, in the first eight months of this year, Yunnan exported 10.58 billion yuan of agricultural products to countries co-building the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 7.1%, accounting for 22% of Yunnan’s total export value to the countries co-building the “Belt and Road”.
Since its opening to operation, the China-Laos Railway has continued to play its role as an international logistics artery. Its advantages of large transportation capacity, fast customs clearance, and strong stability have made it the preferred transportation method for the import of agricultural products such as metal ores, grains, and fruits. In the first eight months of this year, Yunnan imported 65.45 billion yuan in bulk commodities from the "Belt and Road" countries, an increase of 9.6%, including 23 billion yuan of metal ores and ores, an increase of 64%.
